I know plenty of people with college degrees who really struggle to write a decent sentence. I gave one of them this tip just the other day: when you edit something you have written, please realize that a sentence is too long if you HAVE TO TAKE A BREATH TO FINISH IT.

"Drinking the kool-aid" became a slang phrase for these poor idiots for a reason...these people are just as committed to The Decider as those brainwashed fools who killed themselves and their loved ones - including their own children in some cases - because Jim Jones told them to.

These are people who live in absolutes, who see only black and white, no grey. They can't hold two opposing ideas or thoughts, they're unable to deal with even the idea of critical thinking. Authority knows best, the stern patriarchical rule is the only way their psyche functions.
