Minimum and real wage stats and tax cut dollars. Information needed.

I need a quick and reputable source for minimum wage (MW) statistics for a discussion with a reasonable Republican (he voted for Kerry). How much has MW declined in real dollars since 1980? Who is getting MW now as compared to 25 years ago - can we refute the 'minimum wage wasn't meant to be a living wage, only to help people get into the job market' argument? How has the average wage decreased in real dollars? How much is the US giving to the rich in tax cuts each year? How much is planned?

Anyone who can help?
