2008 Will Mark TWENTY YEARS of Bush/Clinton Rule
The USA is a nation of 300 million people. Yet for all the smarts, talent and vision sitting in that population,
it seems that we allow representatives of only two families to run the country. Seems that you need not apply
unless you're a bush or a Clinton.

Not only that, since Bill Clinton left the WH he has become best buddies with GHWB. Do they sit around and decide which
family gets the presidency? "I can hear it now, "No, George, you can have it for now. I'm busy making money. Hillary can have
the WH in '08 after I've made my nest egg. You start talking to Jeb about 2012 and I'll start grooming Chelsea for 2016."

Why is that?

If the USA was some Central American country, we'd be laughing at the preposterousness of the situation.

Think about it: a Hillary win in 2008 will likely mean close to 30 years of 2-family rule, what with the trend toward 2-term presidents.

1. This is why I won't vote for Hillary. We are a democracy,
not a monarchy with feuding clans. Enough is enough! And I've had more than enough!

2. And it could be extended to 24 if Hillary wins (though that is
highly unlikely since she doesn't have Bill's likability factor). That's a big reason why I hope that we get somebody other than Hillary in '08--we need some fresh blood and new ideas.

5. He ALSO destroyed the country's Work Ethic
All those well-paying jobs ... it led to the MORAL DEGRADATION of the work force, I'm tellin' ya!

And he conspired to wage non-stop peace in the Middle East, the bastard!

6. Bush-Clinton-Bush-[Clinton]
Is an anomaly, not a dynasty. Or maybe half a dynasty, if we're talking about the Bushes.

Clinton & Clinton are unique in American history, and have not done any notable family empire building (I suppose you could keep your eye on Chelsea, as she is one smart cookie, but she shows no prediliction to politics).

The Bush Famiglia is another matter. With Jeb in the wings and his son (the telegenic one) standing behind him, you could make the case that they're the new Kennedys. It's pretty scary, but you could make the case.

However, I think "Bush fatigue" is likely to keep Jeb & Co. out of the White House (or even federal office) for some time.

I don't think there's much there there in your premise.

7. it will mark 28 years of Reagan Bush Clinton "Rule"
And 32 years of Carter/Reagan/Bush/Clinton Rule
And 40 years of Nixon-Ford/Carter/Reagan/Bush Clinton Rule.

Is there a point to this?

9. This will frost ya

If Hillary should be elected, she would come in with incredible background and experience in Washington and much of the world, along with overly documented strenths and weaknesses. Moreso than Bill in his first term.

Now, how the hell does that compare to the Current Occupant?
