Bush: Some say terror being used for 'partisan' politics
Bush: Some suggest 'that the terrorist threat is being used for partisan political advantage'

RAW STORY
Published: Saturday August 12, 2006

In his weekly radio address on Saturday, President Bush said that America was safer than before 9/11, and denied that the "terrorist threat was being used for partisan political advantage," RAW STORY has found.

"Because of the measures we've taken to protect the American people, our Nation is safer than it was prior to September the 11th," said Bush. "Still, we must never make the mistake of thinking the danger of terrorism has passed."

"This week's experience reminds us of a hard fact: The terrorists have to succeed only once to achieve their goal of mass murder, while we have to succeed every time to stop them," Bush said.

"Unfortunately, some have suggested recently that the terrorist threat is being used for partisan political advantage," Bush added. "We can have legitimate disagreements about the best way to fight the terrorists, yet there should be no disagreement about the dangers we face."

1. Like using images of 9/11 in his first campaign re-election commercial?
The man has no shame.

5. Some have suggested recently...
"That you are a deranged simpleton and a complete dim-witted murder monkey, who does not possess the intelligence required to wipe your own fucking ass"

Some have suggested that recently...

Just sayin'

6. Why can't there be disagreements about the extent of the danger, Shrub?
Or any comments about your administration exaggerating the dangers to try to use that to gain power for the executive branch?

Do you plan on abandoning your position on Jan. 20, 2009, if a Democrat is elected to take your place? If so, why work so hard on increasing the amount of power one of the branches have? Is it that you want to leave your mark on history?

9. Journalism opportunity of the century
In my sweetest dreams, I envision some enterprising journalist nailing the string of fake terrorism alerts to the administration's directives.

SOmeday, in my most optimistic hopes, this will happen.

11. raw story has found WHERE?
raw story says it has found this. where did they find this exactly? was it lying on the ground outside in the back yard? swimming in the kitchen sink? cut and pasted from another source? where was this "found"? if it is commentary on bush's radio address, it was not found. that was available to anyone with a radio and access to a station broadcasting bush's commentary. hardly "found".
