Anyways, just a thought
Here we are on 8-12-06 and in a world of shit. By our complacency we have allowed many of our freedoms that were designed to protect us from a tyrant to be taken away, a little here a little there. Whose fault is it, I don't know but there is a lot of fault to go around. It's not so important how, now, it is most important what are we going to do to get ourselves out of this mess we find ourselves in. We for all intent and purposes have pretty much lost our right to assemble and demand redress, so where do we turn. My future as well as many others, if I am to believe what I read, looks much more bleak since this criminal administration blew threw here. So I wonder if it wouldn't be in my better interest to sell everything I have now and take to the streets to work for the right to call myself an American who stood up and said enough is enough. At the rate we're going I will, like most I'm afraid, lose it all anyway and have nothing to show for it in the end. I don't know the answers but the question I have to ask myself is am I willing to do nothing now and leave this for my children and grandchildren to have to deal with later. I would like to think I left this life feeling the world is in better shape than it was when I arrived here many years ago. Sadly, at the moment it's not.

9. I agree. These elections are the only shining star left.
A respectable win by the Democrats will be big.

3. funny you should mention this, as I have been having similar thoughts.

4. Sorry, I don't have
an answer for you on this, but did want to let you know that you are not alone in feeling like this. There are times when I feel the situation is hopeless, and I wonder as well what can be done. Some people say there are strength in numbers, but apparently there are just not enough people to take a stand, it seems. I've seen and heard a lot of people out there who have said some of the same things you have said. They know their freedoms are slowly being taken away, but there never seems to be this huge stand taken by the public. Not to mention the "national polls" where people have said many in the current administration should be impeached, yet, nobody or few seems to be doing anything about it. I really do think a lot of people know exactly what is going on, but are either scared to take a stand, too caught up in their own lives, or do not neccessarily know what exactly they should do. As for me, I am in the latter part, and that is why I can understand where you are coming from. I understand. I think a LOT could be changed if more numbers of people affected it that way.

7. They ignore the numbers, just "fringe" groups ya know?
I hope the overpaid media whores are happy with the part they have played these past 6+ years. Sleeping on a bed of money means more to them, I guess.

8. I say do it
Only make it enjoyable as well. You only go around once. Sell out everything and buy yourself a nice little motor home and travel America with your message. You will educate yourself along with others and will see a beautiful country worth doing you are doing. Go for it and don't look back..Life is short...
