Shouldn't we be ramping up the war machine for some unrelated third country?

Just do what we did for 9/11. The plotters there were Saudi, but Saudi Arabia has been doing us lots of favors. So bomb a nearby country that the government doesn't like: Iraq!

In this case, the plotters are British, but again UK has been doing favors. So find a nearby country the government doesn't like, and: BOMB FRANCE!
