OK, seriously - I'm flying today - what do I need to know?
- no liquids in carry on right? But I can still check my luggage (with liquids in it) and be fine yes?
- I live in Boise Idaho - smaller airport, but I'll still get there 1.5 hours early to check in

What the heck else do I need to know?

6. This is what Denver International Airport says:
DIA is requesting that all passengers pack their liquid items in luggage they plan to check. All liquid items, with very few exceptions, will not be permitted to go through security screening checkpoints.

These banned liquids and gels include, but are not limited to: beverages, shampoo, lotions, creams, toothpaste and hair gel. These items can still be purchased at stores on the concourses, however even these purchased items will not be permitted on the planes.

Only liquid medications, baby formula and breast milk are exempt from the ban, but passengers with these items should be prepared to provide evidence of the contents of the containers. Medications, such as insulin, must be marked with a name which matches that of the ticketed passenger. Security personnel may also ask to see prescriptions for the medication.

DIA is warning passengers to prepare for longer ticketing and screening lines and requesting passengers to adjust their travel schedules accordingly.

7. Yes, you can check them.

That and the lines will be longer and people will be in fouler moods than normal because everyone's carry-on luggage might be inspected by hand.

8. Freedom isn't free
There are still a bunch of those Egyptian students on the loose.

There are a couple of Muslims driving around Ohio buying cell phones.

Have a nice trip! :)

10. Correct
makeup, toothpaste, anything liquid or cream or tube or anything. In your checked luggage. Exceptions are limited to baby formula and prescriptions with the Rx clearly labled. The TSA says "medications" but there are MANY reports of OTC medications not being allowed today.

Local news in Atlanta said they are having you take off shoes AND socks - they are also reporting problems with underwire bras.

And don't forget no sharp objects of any kind in carry ons.

You can hide alot of stuff in that pesky life fluid.

Your blood will be given back upon your arrival.

patted down and stripped.
