Anyone ever read the story about the boy who cried wolf?
Terror alert 1 day after Joe Lieberman is ousted by an anti-war candidate?

Call me cynical. Call me crazy.

But I smell BULLSHIT.

1. Why
Would the Brits care about Lieberman's loss?

Seriously, I've seen this thought echoed on other threads. Why would the Brits cook up a story like this based on a primary election for a Senator in Connecticut?

2. Our media will put 100% focus on this and ignore everything else.
Even though, this is a British story, it will dominate our news cycle until the sleepwalking American public is once again hypnotized by FEAR.

10. Why would they help cook up a story like "yellow cake uranium"
and help start a war?

* has saved Blair's bacon more than once. Maybe he's spending some political capital and calling in a favor. It is as believable as the sketchy details of this "plot."

3. Our opening to the campaign season was to elect a progressive,
anti-BS-war candidate. Their opening is more TERRA!

4. Many callers on C-Span agree with you! I agree too, it's proof of:

Bush and Blair gone WILD!

Frighten the world and get the Lebanon destruction and the Iraq War off the media!

Do not be misled, Fear Bush!

9. The same here
One of these times it will be real and the overexposed and desensitized masses will be victims again.

It's criminal the way they've abused and manipulated the issue.

6. Care to share any of your other conspiracy theories?
Seriously, you are reading way too much into this. Its simply a story of the Brits foiling an attack.

Good for them! Its not spreading fear.

12. You it doesn't follow that if you smell BS, that you are for certain
progressive or a Democrat or a progressive Democrat.

Given the track record of these two governments in the "War on Terra," I'll remain skeptical.

11. Okay, I'll call you crazy.
Because it's completely and totally irrational to think that MI5 or Britain's Home Office have any interest at all in who wins an American primary election; it's even more irrational to assume that Karl Rove or Dick Cheney got on the phone with Tony Blair and said 'hey, Tony...we need a distraction, please'. It makes no sense on the face of it. If the US government were going to manufacture a fake terror alert in order to distract the American public, the news would be about a terror cell somewhere in New Jersey. NOT in London. This is paranoid lunacy on a David Icke or Lyndon LaRouche scale.
