What is this? "Terrorism for Dummies"?
So the big plot was to plant explosives on airplanes by tucking them in the luggage? Well, DUH -- there's an original thought! I mean, who would think to check luggage on international flights to the U.S.? What is this -- "Terrorism for Dummies"?

Our ports, power plants, rail lines, food supplies, chemical plants, power grids et al don't have the security I'd give an outhouse yet these terrorists would choose the most OBVIOUS, most likely to be foiled plot in the handbook? A third grader could come up with better.

Sorry, but IMHO something about this just doesn't add up.

1. Sure it does. Classic rovian response to yesterday's shot across
the bow in CT. The good poodle cooperated nicely. Give him a bone, georgie porgie!

knock Lamont and the anti-war anti-* steamroller off the front pages - there are millions of amurkans that are buying this shit - even though I bet 99% of the people who believe this new terror alert have never set foot outside the country

that was suspended in 04. Get with the program.

9. This was a plot
to fly up to 10 airliners from the Phillipines to the US with bombs on board.

The CIA etc was aware of the plot hence why many were incredulous when Condi Rice said "no one could've imagined anyone would use airplanes as weapons".

22. Gee, how much death/damage do you think they'll have to do this time
in order to justify their invasion of Syria/Iran?

I expect we'll find out very soon (I give it two or three weeks). And once again, Bubba is hanging out at the ranch.

And of course they will likely blame the terrible economy on it.

Many DUer's have anticipated this.

25. So when do we invade the British Isles?
I mean, that place is nothing short of a breeding ground for terrorists! And I've got my eye on those Canadians, too, as part of the Anglophile Terrorist Network.

16. When do you ever get the written Rx back when it's filled?
The pharmacist always keeps the original. Or like my s/o who goes to the VA, never gets a written one, they just mail the meds.
