We all have to remember one eternal, absolute, and unfortunate truth: the vast majority of people are fucking ignorant shitbagging idiots. Almost all of those that responded in error were over 55, and more than likely the overwhelming majority of them were over 60.

9/11 is EVERY year! I just checked my calander and there it is, right after 9/10 and right before 9/12.

24. The first thing I thought of when I heard this was George Orwell.

The people in the novel have no conception of the world before the Orwellian order described in the novel. It's like, "everything has always been this way," war is peace and everything else.

I think a lot of Americans don't consciously think about how the world was before 9/11, and how it has changed under neo-con rule. Since they foget how much things have changed, they don't remember when things changed...the date loses significance because it seems to them things have always been this way...unless they stop to really think about it, which they don't.
