1. Yeah, isn't that something?
I'm arguing with some guy on another board about this very issue. He's saying how the Republicans are more in line with mainstream America, yet when I point out polls like this, his head explodes and he doesn't respond.

2. hehe
Mention how most Americans are in favor of universal healthcare and you can watch a one-man rendition of the Red Scare.

3. It's only because the governing class has moved so far right
that the relatively moderate regular folks look like a fringe. Additionally, calling someone "extreme" or "fringe" is a good way of dismissing them. They'll get what's coming to 'em.

4. They keep saying ANTI-WAR
and I think this is a very important point. Not anti-the wrong pointless based on lies, quagmire (we got Saddam YEARS ago now) IRAQ war. But anti-war. They are painting the Demoratic party as always as those that would never defend our country. And there are a few in the left that say no to all war. Which is probably morally more superior. But it's not going to fly and it doesn't even fly with me. We need to make this point. Defending America has NOTHING to do with Iraq. Iraq's civil war is not our business. But that's just me. A pro-America far left Dem.
