Will the media let Bush get away with lying about Abramoff....?
Edited on Thu Jan-19-06 03:31 PM by kentuck
and, more specifically, not meeting with him. When there are reports that he met with Abramoff as far back as 1997 when he was Governor of Texas. And that Abramoff had 195 meetings with WH or WH officials during the first 10 months of his Presidency? All he has to do is lie and the media forgets about it. The lies are becoming so brazen and blatant, how long will the media continue to ignore it?

5. junior can't keep up with all the lies
Although McClellan claims Bush did not meet with Abramoff, another White House spokesman, Erin Healy, said last year that "they may have met on occasion. After the Abramoff scandal broke, Healy amended her statement to add that the President did not consider him a close friend and claimed the White House had limited contact with the lobbyist. McClellan Tuesday claimed he could find only two contacts between the White House and Abramoff.

Yet public lobbying records filed by Abramoffs firm show the lobbyist made 195 lobbying contacts with the administration on issues for the Marianas islands alone during Bushs first 10 months in office. Abramoff lobbied to preserve the American territorial islands -- notorious for their "Made in the USA" sweatshops -- as exempt from federal minimum wage standards."

6. The Observer wrote in August that Abe was on the 2000 transition team
If true, he was very close to the pResident. He would have helped set up Bush's cabinet and pick his policies, and....

And hey, what in the hell is Rover-the-Pimp still doing in the White House?
