O'Bully finds rape/murder victim at fault

O'REILLY: So anyway, these two girls come in from the suburbs and they get bombed, and their car is towed because they're moronic girls and, you know, they don't have a car. So they're standing there in the middle of the night with no car. And then they separate because they're drunk. They separate, which you never do. All right.

Now Moore, Jennifer Moore, 18, on her way to college. She was 5-foot-2, 105 pounds, wearing a miniskirt and a halter top with a bare midriff. Now, again, there you go. So every predator in the world is gonna pick that up at two in the morning. She's walking by herself on the West Side Highway, and she gets picked up by a thug. All right. Now she's out of her mind, drunk.

And the thug takes her over to New Jersey in the cab and kills her and rapes her and does all these terrible things to her. And the thug is so stupid, he uses her cell phone, and the cops trace it back to him and they -- and they arrest him and charge him with murder. He had a prostitute girlfriend with him, and she's charged as an accessory to murder. But Jennifer Moore is in the ground. She's dead.

She took a cab? Hussy! Characteristically, Bull-O is beating up on someone who is unable to speak for herself. Are all people who drink morons, Bull, or just the short ones? Just the dead ones, maybe? But her summer clothes explain it all, don't they? -"Now, again, there you go".

In our whole history weaker people have been pray to stronger people. You would think you would act so as to keep your self safer. I guess their are some females that think equal rights means that they are as strong as some some one who will hurt them.. Wrong. You just want to shake these girls for putting them self in to such a place to get killed and hurt. I hope they find the people who did this and put them in jail for life. We used to run all over Boston when I was in college in groups of 4 girls. It was standard for us.

10. People don't deserve rape and death for exercising poor judgment.

The burden of guilt for a crime remains with the perpetrator, not the victim...no matter how much the victim made himself or herself vulnerable to the crime.

A guy doesn't deserve to have his wallet stolen just because he stuck it in his back pocket where it was easy to pick. People don't deserve to be burglarized just because they left their house unlocked. And women don't deserve to be raped and killed just because they were drunk and wearing minimal clothing and were alone in the wee hours of the morning.

If a child was wandering the streets alone in the wee hours of the morning, we wouldn't say that child is fair game. We'd be furious with the parents, sure, but it doesn't mean the child deserves to be hurt.

Yes, personal responsibility for one's safety is a necessity in this world...but only because there are people in it who do wrong. Neglect for one's personal safety doesn't make the wrongdoing okay.

It is almost as if when we are teens or near that age that we see life as never hurting us. I think it goes back to not letting children learn some self judgment when they are younger. My God but I see mothers watching kids that have to be 11 or 12 get on school buses at the end of their drives. At 8 and 10 my mother and father were putting me and my sister on a train alone to go to Boston to met my Grandfather. Their were just as many nuts around but they knew we had to live in this world so had to do some thinking for our self.

I was in the middle of it all and some was not so nice but no one can say that women will end up safe in all places even if laws become equal all around. Some thing are more equal than others. 11. Stuff like this provides comfort to those who think "it won't happen

to me." Granted, you could use it as a horror story - even if not true, these stories are told - a person did this and that happened - to convince young people that their feeling of indestructibility may not be the best thing to act on at all times.

Though what this girl could have done differently it is hard to say. Sometimes chance will just take you up, fortunately the odds are not that high. She could have been one of those rare people who contracted a fatal disease at a young age. She could have been killed on 911. Life involves risk, we can minimize it but not put it to zero.

She could have stayed home, sure. Young girls who stay home every night probably don't get attacked. But then there is a down side to that, too. Maybe in that area, young girls won't want to go out even in their cars, alone. Or not go if they have an old car that might break down. It's a judgment call, at every point.

However, mere talk saying rape is bad is not going to stop rape. Teaching people actionable defensive tactics and punishing rapists/murderers more severely/regularly is what is going to stop rape.
