Does Rumsfeld? Ever say a sentence? Without a question?
I wuote from CNN: The defense secretary responded to Clinton. "Are there setbacks? Yes. Are there things that people can't anticipate? Yes. Does the enemy have a brain and continue to make adjustments on the ground requiring our forces to make adjustments? You bet," he said.

"Is that going to continue to be the case? I think so. Is this problem going to get solved in the near term about this long struggle against violent extremism? No, I don't believe it is."

Jesus. Could you imagine working in the DoD, and having to listen to him constantly?

Would it be annoying? I bet it would.

Would it make you suicidal? I think, indeed it would.

1. Does he? I suppose it could happen.
Has it happened recently? Not that I know of.

3. Rumsfeld? Speak without using a question?
No. I believe that would qualify as a known known in Rumspeak.

And I believe I'd have to bitch-slap him. It drives me insane. I was screaming at him today during the hearing, just listening to him lie in his own inimitable way. Ugh.

13. You actually watched him on TV? You're a better man (or in your case,
woman) than I, Gunga Din.

I simply would not be able to do that.

6. It is because he does not want to answer the question.
Do I ask myself questions in order not to answer your question? Sure I do.

Am I completely out to lunch or bob & weaving like the prize rooster at
the county fair where i wore an outfit that was the cats pajamas? You could
think about that for a month of Wednesdays and still not be Johnny on the spot
about getting your ducks in order. Golly Gee.

8. Do you think he practices sounding so obtuse?
Probably.

In front of a mirror even?
I'd wager it.

Should he be taken to the funny farm in a straight jacket?
No doubt.

Does he want us all to die?
It's surely one of those "known knowns".

Have you ever heard him utter a sentence not in question form? Could it be that what he really wants is to be a contestant on Jeopardy?

Should I edit my posts before hitting the post button? You would think so, wouldn't you?

15. Do people that are clinically diagnosed with multiple
personalities routinely talk to themselves, even when no one else is around? Probably.

Do they ask themselves rhetorical questions and then answer using unintelligible gibberish? Absolutely.

24. I'd have to say that by speaking that way he is not going to be
misunderstood or misquoted. He must have consciously developed that style. Though it irritates the hell out of us, it has probably worked well for him.

Do I think you're saying that it works because it confuses people, and pisses them off so much that they stop asking him questions? I believe I do think that.

Am I right about that being what you meant? Only you can say.

29. You gotta admit, by reframing every question
as his own, he seldom runs the risk of having the issues "framed" for him. I'll bet he never runs afoul of "when did you stop beating your wife" type questions.

It also deflects the listeners from his incompetence and batshit craziness.

Watta guy!

27. One of the first lessons you learn in sales, is sidestep the argument.
You don't answer it directly, you sidestep it. What better way to do that but ask a question, instead of answer one.

30. Funny and
does anybody else have a problem of reconciling how funny-absurd funny, weird funny, crazy funny, sometimes laugh out loud because those in the Bush camp are so stupid, pathetic, evil or obvious funny with the fact that he for one, is very much responsible for so much death?

The guy speaks like he's in a play from some other time or on a very slow acid trip. And yet I know he's smart. But everything he's done is abject failure. Secretary of defense? WHAT A KNEE SLAPPER.

Maybe it is ALL a big nightmare because if this is reality, what is the punchline?

Rumsfeld Shouldn't be Fired, He Should be Indicted
by Matthew Rothschild

Secretary Rumsfeld has publicly admitted that . . . he ordered an Iraqi national held in Camp Cropper, a high security detention center in Iraq, to be kept off the prisons rolls and not presented to the International Committee of the Red Cross, the report noted. The Geneva Conventions require countries to grant the Red Cross access to all detainees.

http://www.commondreams.org/views06/0418-24.htm

Recently it has been found out that even more detainees were "ghost detainees". The fact that Rumsfeld has not been charged speaks volumes. If Congress wishes to garner any respect they should move forward with Impeachment Declaration of Rumsfeld.
