Kyoto has been way too slow.. did not prevent this heat wave.

we need other means going ahead at the same time as kyoto.

dont rely only on kyoto.

My linked post has a link in it to CBS report on other ways.

2. tube, a/c to your bed: mirrorize your roof, or at least white paint it
the two best ways to beat the heat.

run an eight inch diameter tube to your bed, under the sheet. But be sure to do a "loose coupling " of the tube to the ac, so if you add a way to close it off in bed's end, you will not create a big resis tance to the ac's fan.

that would harm the fan.

Studies find a white roof cuts ac costs twenty percent. Mirrorizing is done for warehouses... why not do your own roof.

10. Planting trees is relatively easy and inexpensive
way to help cool your home. I planted one tree that shades my patio and patio doors (morning sun hit it directly) and dropped my summer electric bill by a fourth.

I am in the deep, deep South and it infuriates me to see all these houses with not a tree, not even a newly planted one, within a hundred feet.

Dumb, dumb, dumb.
