On the news, the Taliban are recovering their wounded and KIA under fire? This is a characteristic of a very disciplined and committed fighting force and very frightening for our undermanned troops.

1. The myth about us 'destroying' the Taliban in Afghanistan is sad.

We barely control the capital and almost none of the countryside. That is left to the drug warlords (notice how they NEVER talk about the opium fields) to run and oppress. The Taliban probably had a surge in recruiting, after seeing how few troops were left in Afghanistan.

We just had to go into Iraq, couldn't catch OBL or take control of Afghanistan. Too much money to be pillaged from Iraq and so little time.
