Maury Povich should be charged with child abuse!

I was just flipping through the channels and what should I come across but dear Maury. Usually he is trying to prove who has fathered someone's child. This show is about mothers who over feed their children to make them fat. On the stage are grossly overweight small children who are being discussed and disected on stage and before the world. This is CHILD ABUSE in my opinion. How does he get away with it?...He's a DISGUSTING PIG!

I didn't see the show this morning but I have seen him do similar subjects and he is always very thoughtful and considerate. He gets those people help, which clearly they need.

7. I have seen enough of his shows to not think of him as a great

humanitarian. His many shows on "guess who is the daddy" are pathetic. I've never watched one all the way through but have seen enough to form an honest opinion of him. These children will be taunted and teased by their peers for the sake of his ratings. IMO

Charge the parents with child abuse. They are both the ones who overfeed their kids and the ones who agreed to have their children go on camera.

Where should the line be drawn, though. Are the people in the Middle East child abusers, for rocketing kids on either side? Maybe everyone who supports either side is guilty of child abuse, knowing that their favored organization is likely to kill children. What about people in a society that allow children to go homeless and hungry, are they all guilty of child abuse? I won't even start on the abortion issue and/or when a child should be considered an individual. Should the letter of the law be determined by what is prosecutable or by what is fair, and to whom?

Rhetoric aside, I think virtually all involvement of children in showbiz is child abuse to some extent, and I don't trust the motives of parents who allow or push for it.

Maury needs to be charged for a lack of taste but it's the parents feeding this child. And the pain a child like this will face will not be from television viewers but from peers within a few years.

do a search for "Maury" and "pickles" and watch one of the videos that comes up as a hit ... a Maury guest with some pathological fear of pickles (or at least pretending to have said phobia) being taken by Maury to a pickle factory and then being chased around the Maury stage by a staff flunkie with a plate full of pickles while she freaks out ... quality television, my friends

I mean I can understand an argument for overfeeding your kids is child abuse, but talking about it on TV?

17. It's not the talking about it....that's a good thing...it's the dragging

little children on TV that is exploitation. These kids have no choice in whether they want to be made an example of for the viewers at home. The problem can be discussed without using actual children on the shows. IMO
