Lieberman is PISSED. Stalked by the Joe & the KISS float- PHOTO

The Senator and his friends in Milford today. Just another stop for the "Tomorrow Tour" (or the "Joe Farewell" tour) with the KISS float haunting his every step.

At every appearance he makes, the float is stationed as close to him as it can get.

Pity it wasn't "The Thinker," but then, Lieberman didn't use his head in this campaign. Voters want out of Iraq. Get a clue, Senator.

11. I think he truly doesn't see what we see
I've heard him on the radio in the past few weeks and he truly believes that his 90% record of "voting with the Democrats" is passable. Well, it's NOT passable. That means that 10% of the time, he votes with the Republicans, and on some issues that really divide him from the progressive wing of the party, including votes for corporations and of course Iraq.

And it's very troubling to me that he appears willing to fight harder after a loss in a Senate primary race than he did in 2000. That was MY vote he disenfranchised back then, damn it.

25. Good point. Dems and Republicans vote alike much of the time!
Especially before Bush. Bills are tailored to get bipartisan support. On routine budgets, highway appropriations, resolutions, naming Post Offices, etc., there is little difference. On some bills, corporate and social policy, the difference is critical.

45. Perhaps he feels he stayed in the acceptable margin
Perhaps they have a formula they follow and he didn't go outside of what's recommended. As such he could be having a hard time grasping why he's being singled out and made an example of.

If so, that's all the more reason to pound home the point that MANY Dems, and pretty much all of the progressive ones, find him to be a traitor.

It's not just the 10% that he voted against us on, it's what that 10% was and what it represented.

110. His "90%" votes in a republican controlled senate are MEANINGLESS
He can safely vote WITH the democrats when he knows the vote will be against them anyway...BUT when it really mattered to democrats, he was with the 10% (as were a LOT of dems who should know better...but at least they did not have their KISS on the record)

Sorry Joe...you laid down with a dog..and you got fleas :)

of him hugging Bill Clinton (whom he helped impeach).

Clinton traveled to Connecticut last week to appear with the senator and endorse him. By Friday, Lieberman's campaign had produced a button showing Clinton with his arm around the senator at the rally an intended antidote for the button Lamont supporters have distributed for months showing Bush embracing (sic) Lieberman after the president's 2005 State of the Union Address.

The Lamont button reads "The Kiss"; Lieberman's camp calls its button "The Hug."

Referring to "Joe's dlcentrist-zellocrat keyboard warrior supporters" wouldn't seem to be too far away from referring to "left-wing yapping loonies."

Oh hell, I don't seek peace, I suppose. Just detente and a civil discussion instead of namecalling.

Seems like ole Joementum isn't a happy camper...

Even though he pretends he isn't anything like the Mad king Boy George, his actions speak louder than words.

Case in point his banning people from attending his campaign events.

Hey Joe, you get what you deserve. When you make yourself out to be a Corporate Whore, then sooner or later you will find yourself in a compromised position.

55. Eleanor Roosevelt did that
When Franklin was running for state Senate I think. The opposing candidate was involved in the Teapot Dome scandal so she stuck a teapot on top of her car and followed him all over the state. Funny idea.

Too bad we don't do this against Republicans though.

87. accountability
You know what strikes me about this? That somebody out there not only remembered that kiss but memorialized it in a giant statue which took quite a bit of time, talent, and creativity to make.

Now, not only did they make the statue, but they went to the trouble to put it ON TOP of a car. And then this delightful soul took the time and trouble to track down where Joementum would be and arranged to be there.

Now that is someone with a serious resentment problem...someone...well, someone quite like me!

It is a great heads-up for other Senators and Reps who for too long sold out to Bush policies...

Republicans running close races may also take a serious look at what is happening to Senator Lieberman and why.

Their alliance with Bush may be their undoing.
