The West Coast has had some relief but the humid East is still being pounded by the Sun.

While a nation was "defending itself" against the seizure of 2 (2) of its soldiers by pitching the globe toward WW3.

Which captivated the corporate media and shifted attention from domestic controversy and -- oh yeah! -- the War in Iraq.

And then Mad Max went truly mad!! Got drunk and drove and blamed the Jews for Everything!!

While the administration's Pretenders perform for the cameras and refuse to use the word "urgent" "immediate" in preference for "sustainable" "permanent."

And the pResident had a yearly checkup to find out if he has grown a heart.

While someone plans to fly a gargantuan image of an aborted fetus above a major city, which currently is baking in the heatwave.

And some DUers demonize one subset of voters, ignoring ALL the reasons that Bush was installed and re-installed as U.S. C.E.O., while blind to the fact that our elections are not protected, guaranteed or verifiable even now. Without that, nothing else matters. The fact that this nation has accepted the unacceptable has led us to this precipice we are on. Really.

And other DUers throw word bombs of accusation from one side or the other regarding the nightmare in the Holy Land, ignoring the fact that our media only shows us, only tells us what they want us to know, based on the orders of the same groups that profit from the conflagration.

While the pResident delivers a TelePrompter performance to a buncha Coast Guard folks in Florida (Bush LOVES FLA!!) completely rewriting and disappearing Reality and History and the reasons that he made war on Iraq, invoking the Holy Name "On September Eleventh" and shifting the mindset of his audience to buy into the Project For A New American Century and Clean Break that are now in deployment in the Middle East.

And we know there are even those insane enough to HOPE FOR, to say "BRING IT ON" to Armageddon.

While Condoliessa coos on the Lehrer NewsHour, comfortable in the studio and still smarting from her bad trip in the Middle East, where she was trapped behind the news podium with the same problem that afflicted both President Gore and President Kerry-- she is TOO SMART to not act UNCOMFORTABLE when FORCED to deliver her pre-packaged LINES.

And we all feel the pressure and know we are living in the same bubble that Bush lives in and outside it people are dying because of the global nightmare that is Bushco.'s wet dream........................

8. Not well here.

Part may be the days on days of triple digit temps but the humidity has been low so it is not all that bad, just kind of a pain when you work outside.

All this fighting is killing me. My husband, a Jew, is having trouble and is worried about the reaction of other people. He is a worrier and now the Global Warming thing added to financial worries (we are Ok but our country is not). It has not been a good time for a while.

Had my little breakdown am now back on top of things.

I hate living this life but it does make me appreciate what we had before and it makes me feel even more empathetic with peoples of other nations who for hundreds of years if not longer have lived under worse tyranny than this.

Ahh, younger son coming home in a few with his girlfriend and some other friends because our house has This Is Spinal Tap (we are the cool parents). This should cheer me up a lot!

Man I do wish I was there, love Alaska.

Here in Kansas you get the best and worst of all the seasons, one of the reasons I love it here.

No denial but no clue what to do. We are building our house on the farm. That will save a ton in gas and keep a little pollution out of the air. We are also using a geothermal sink into my 5 acre pond, solar ready for when we can afford it. We are possibly going to be off the grid, or close anyway.

Planning my garden, have a great crawlspace that will work as a root cellar and a great place to store what I grow and can. Also a chicken moat, really want a chicken moat around the garden. We should be set to do our part anyway.

Hee Hee, I do not watch the media anymore. I catch some now and then and am stunned that it keeps getting worse! I only really follow local weather, the rest I get here and on another site.

Hubby saw two docs on Monday, had a resting stress test this morning, then had dialysis...tomorrow he has part 2 of the stress test...back to dialysis on Thurs. and Sat. ...he will have to have the angiogram of his fistula (dialysis access)redone because the first one didn't image clearly... meaning another 50 mi. trip to the hospital that does the proceedure... then he needs a test to make sure he is cancer free after the removal of his kidney last year...

And people have the nerve to ask me what I do for work...

I don't know what to do. Every person who sits there and determines the worthiness of another person who is not a sociopath,abuser/"alpha"authoritarian relationship destroyer,and uses some self serving yardstick of looks,income,skin tone,gender,status,past trauma,culture, sexual orientation,religion, to determine who deserves be respected and considered an equal as the judge themselves seek to be respected and considered is guilty of elitism...and it's this who deserves more and who deserves less game"successful" people play to keep their status that is destroying us all.Successful or not.
