My guess is that the statistics are just about reversed on that one.

I know too many women who are fools to believe in the superiority of my sex. I also know the world sports women like Schlafly and Coulter (who would appear to be female if that high school yearbook photo is legit) who are not fools but who use their positions in the world to prey on those who are.

Yes, there are statistical differences. However, too many of us lie outside the statistics to make them much of a guideline.

It sounds to me like part of the appeal is getting yelled at and scolded by, and listening to other people get yelled at and scolded by, an excessively "moralizing", self-righteous would-be parent figure. I think Bill O'Reilly fills much the same "need" with these kinds of people. For some reason, many Americans -of both genders- seem to have this deep-seated need for someone to tell them what to do.
