Okay, I'm A Dumbass (Billy Bragg's "Price Of Oil")

I finally understand Billy's song.

He sang that it was all "about the price of oil."

I thought that was bullshit. I liked Billy Bragg, but I thought that was stupid.

I couldn't figure out how attacking Iraq and starting a conflaguration in the mideast would make oil prices go down.

I thought he meant that our economy needed a decrease in oil prices. (Which it does.)

But now I realize, (or I'm projecting) that he was telling the true story, which is that our leaders wanted the "price of oil" to go through the roof so that they could make out like bandits. Literally.

I apologize for my stupidity to Billy Bragg. I'm sorry.
