Israel got in a few more blows to Lebanon before their 'cease fire'
(07.31.06, 07:29)

IDF: Strikes in eastern Lebanon carried out before ceasefire

Israel Defense Forces officials said that the Israel Air Force strikes in eastern Lebanon were carried out at around midnight, before the announcement on the suspension of air strikes.

In any case, they added, striking targets which constitute a threat for Israel will continue. (Ynet)

that's the type of agreement that you get when the Bush regime gets involved. Say one thing, do another.

At any rate, it's one more example of the US standing by and watching the slaughter of Lebanese before they decide to step in and stop it. What were they firing on up east Lebanon anyway?

2. "... when the Bush regime gets involved."
I think Israel will do as "she" pleases, no matter who gets involved. This by no means excuses the DUH-bya cronies from anything they've done.

"... targets which constitute a threat for Israel ..."

Millions of innocent Palestinians and Lebanese can tell you what that means.

4. Probably a bunch of "compassionate conservative" crap.
They have to look like they give a damn about innocent people caught up in this world war in time for the midterm elections.

5. Maybe the powers that be in Israel made a signing statement when
they agreed to this deal.
