2. Yes, it was fabulous
I particularly loved the part when he said "I asked the congressman who proposed putting the Ten Commandments on the wall...if he could recite them...and what probing questions did they ask?" (meaning Today/GMA)

and then cuts to a montage of clips showing softball stories they cover.

41. The Ten Commandments clip has now been seen by millions
. . . and those same millions have now been exposed to the idea of Colbert's show. It wouldn't surprise me if this means a boost in his ratings.

(What kind of self-professed Christian can't recite the Ten Commandments? I found that mind-boggling!)

7. The Reason for the Slam was simply Jawdropping -- A Must See!
The Euphemedia really exposed their mental illness on this one.

It was way beyond lack of a sense of humor -- pure lack of any sensory aparatus whatsoever.

Equating Wexler's playing along with Westmoreland's ignorance of the ten commandments, makes it horrifically clear just how warped is their notion of "balanced coverage."

Matt Lauer, Jack Tapper, and their producers must all really be "Douglass Feith" stupid.

14. Ugh I Can't STAND TO WATCH ANY OF THOSE!!
Those shows are the ultimate idiot tee vee--all they ever do is say "what's coming up" and how many minutes it is "after the hour." I've had to leave hotel rooms before when my travel mates turn that shit on!

19. Lauer & Tapper's kids aren't old enough to 'splain it to them yet
Until they are, their parents and the equally satire-challenged GMA & Today show colleagues will keep showing themselves to be the inDUHviduals we feared they've become.

"They do my show to get on your show the next morning". Or some such wording, then he goes on to show all the "important stuff" they have on. He is the best at truthiness. I heart him.

I adore Wexler. During the House impeachment hearings following 7 long years of a Clinton witchhunt, I'll never forget Wexler's plead to C-Span's viewing audience, "Wake up, America! This is your president!"

This shows how Faux News edited the show to make it appear Wexler made the comments without coaching, as if he didn't know it was a joke.

I loved the endorsement for Wexler, too! I love watching Colbert when he's mad - which doesn't seem to happen often.

Basically, I love Colbert - and his Colbertnation.com, now has a discussion board for anyone interested.

or 2 because of those morons in the press. It's so annoying! I thought Wexler was great. But, you know there will be some conservative raising hell because of this.

39. URGENT MEMO TO THE MSM
Rules of Engagement for The Colbert Report & Daily Show:

Do not engage. They are smarter than you. They are funnier than you. They are better "journalists" than you (although if that were the sole criteria, you could not comment on anything above 8th grade newspaper articles). They serve the public trust better than you. And they care more about our Country than you.

They are big dogs, and you are guinea pigs on a ferris wheel. Take a walk. WHEEEEEEE!

The morning shows should not get into a gunfight with Colbert/Stewart and crew when the only thing they are holding is a plastic spork.
