Jesus, What if the Crips became known as a terrorist group by another
country?

Would the be sactified in blowing the shit out of America to try and wipe them out?

Just a question.

1. I have another comparison...
A liberation front that tries to 'liberate' across national boundaries. Because Hezbollah is equipped more like Viet Cong than the Crips. Though at this rate they'll have plenty of opportunities to liberate their own country again, just like the good ol' days.

But, if you buy this fourth generation warfare stuff, your scenario is more what we should expect for at least a significant chunk of this century.

5. that is exactly what they want. a precedent to remove anyone they
name as their enemy. Enemy of the state. New version of Nixon's enemies list. They think the people will accept it and fall in line.

8. Exaggeration
If they started launching missiles into Mexico, from our soil and we did nothing about it, there would be diplomatic problems to say the least. Mexico would have a legitimate gripe, don't you think? Or would you ask that they suck it up too?

9. So it would be alright with you that Mexico violates our sovereignty?

Violating both US airspace and soil? Bombing Washington D.C. to punish it for its inability to effectively deal with the Crips? Destroying numerous power plants in the southwest? Killing hundreds of innocent residents of Los Angeles and San Diego?

Lebanon's government was weak to begin with. If Israel couldn't put an end to Hezbollah during 18 years occupying the south (1982-2000), what the bloody fuck do you think Lebanon's weak government could do about them by itself?

10. Well
Lebanon is not helpless. They are not a strong government, but they have the international community behind them, so asking for help in rooting out Hezbollah seems like the most prudent idea. The alternative is expecting Israel to take it up the ass, and that is not reasonable.

11. Israel pulled out 6 years ago; UN moved in... and here we are.
The "international community" had boots on the ground in southern Lebanon for the past 6 years and yet Hezbollah keeps managing to attack northern Israel. You're so quick to blame the impotent Lebanese government, but the "international community" doesn't seem to have done squat. I maintain high hopes for the UN and its role on the world stage this century, but their track record is absolutely shameful when it comes to any kind of armed conflict.

12. We are not in disagreement
Actually I agree with your post. The issue remains, what is Israel to do?

14. If the Crips get elected to Congress
and start kidnapping people from a neighboring country, then yea, that country would have a pretty damn good case to retaliate.
