What do you want in 2008?
I would like to see Hillary Clinton and Joe Lieberman run as Dems in 2008 on a Zell Miller -esque campaign platform.
I just want to see if the David Puddy "Gotta Support the Team" face-painters will give up being progressive 'to support the party' or if they will see the light and work toward progressive change within the party.

In 2004 I was a Kucinich voting Dean organizer that was happy with liberal John Kerry getting the nomination.

In 2008 I would love to have the Dems represented by a liberal progressive. I also want to win. I don't know what I want more at this point. What would you like in 2008?

For the record, I would vote for a pro-gay, anti-drug war, anti death penalty, anti free trade, anti war Republican. If Rudy Guliani and Mike Blomberg run together, they may have my vote...if they remain progressive and liberal.

1. I'm with you on most of those issues but I think Giuliani is a gangster.
And that's the nicest thing I can muster to say about him.

I'm votin' blue.

I'd like to see the fundie nutcases split from the GOP and support Brownback, dividing the Republican vote so that not even their most electable candidate could carry the electoral college.

3. that would be neat too
for the record, I think that that Hillary Clinton can beat just about anyone, except a Rudy / McCain ticket...

I would love to see Hillary run as a progressive liberal. Otherwise, I would not like to see her run. That being said, she can win

6. I think she's going to be formidable. I'm not sure how easy a go of it
she'll have in Iowa and Nevada and New Hampshire and South Carolina.

I'm just hunching here... but she could finish behind Edwards, Kerry & Bayh in Iowa; behind Warner in Nevada; behind Kerry, Feingold, Clark and Biden in New Hampshire, and behind Edwards and Warner in S. Carolina. She'd be in the hunt still, but that inevitability factor would be all gone.

And that's not even counting Gore and several other potential Dem candidates.

She's got her work cut out for her, but she has many cards to play, too.

It's going to be a sizzler.

8. I dream of a Mario Cuomo-Bill Moyers ticket.
Lots of other great liberal Dems to choose from, of course, but that's my dream ticket.
