From the "I feel safer already" file: `Survivor' Hatch sent to prison
`Survivor' Hatch sent to Oklahoma prison

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -
Richard Hatch has been sent to a federal prison in Oklahoma as he serves a 51-month sentence for failing to pay taxes on the $1 million he won on the debut season of "Survivor."

Hatch, 45, of Newport, arrived last week at the Federal Transfer Center in Oklahoma City. It wasn't immediately clear why Hatch was moved or whether he will serve out his prison sentence at the facility, which is a hub for prisoners transferring through the federal system.

A federal jury convicted Hatch in January of failing to pay taxes on the "Survivor" prize and other income. He was sentenced in May to 51 months in prison by a judge who said the reality TV star had lied repeatedly on the witness stand.

Hatch had previously been held at the Plymouth County Correctional Facility in Massachusetts.

1. Think he'll go nekid?
I don't care if he goes to jail or not. This is useless news that's funny, too.

2. They are deeply afraid of a tax rebellion
and persecute all mercilessly, as without the slaves paying tax, they are emperors of zip diddly.

5. Would You Feel Better If You Knew He Was A Right-Winger?
I've read several articles which indicate he is a Right-Wing Conservative who supported King george.

He's also an IDIOT, and if he failed to pay taxes on the $1 Million he won, which obviously Everyone knew he won, then he deserves to be in jail.

I'll be lucky to see that kind of money in my lifetime, and he's too self-rightous to pay his taxes? Screw him.

8. No. I was reacting more on the line that there are WORSE criminals...
however, I'm in agreement that he's a complete and utter asshole and I'm glad he's behind bars.... Just thought it was fluff news, that's all.

6. He was an idiot. Good luck to you, Richard.
Here was a guy who went around the country lecturing on his "business acumen", when he somehow figured the country (and the IRS) wouldn't notice that he won a million dollars on a TV show.

Let's see how much of a "Survivor" he is behind bars. I'm sure the nudity thing will work for him there.
