Look who went to End Times Rev. Hagee's Apocalypse Party.

Evangelical "Christians" are part of the propaganda show. Three thousand of them, under the lead of the Rev. John C. Hagee, are heading to Washington for a "Washington/Israel summit" to demand, needlessly, that the neocon Bush regime show "stronger support for Israel."

Present at Rev. Hagee's "Washington/Israel Summit" will be Israel's former Minister of Defense, Lt. Gen. Moshe Ya'alon, Israeli Ambassador Daniel Ayalon, Republican National Committee Chairman Ken Mehlman, Republican Senators Sam Brownback and Rick Santorum, the Rev. Jerry Falwell, and Gary Bauer.

David Brog, former chief of staff for Republican Sen. Arlen Specter, has gone to work for Rev. Hagee. Brog, who is Jewish, says he works for Hagee's evangelical enterprise because "we're bringing into a pro-Israel camp millions of Christians who love Israel and giving them a political voice. Israel's enemies are our enemies, and this group instinctively understands that." Brog goes on to say that Hagee's evangelicals understand that they are not supposed to talk about Jesus, only about saving Israel: "Christians who work with Jews in supporting Israel realize how sensitive we are in talking about Jesus. They realize it will interfere with what they are trying to do."

Gentle reader, is this an admission that evangelicals have set aside Jesus for war? Do these bloody-minded evangelicals really believe they will be wafted to Heaven for helping Israel involve the U.S. in more war? Have evangelicals forgotten that "an eye for an eye" is Old Testament? "Turn the other cheek" is New Testament.

--------------------------------------------

Hezbolla mean the party of God, but we should use the word too for the above mentioned insane motherfuckers who threaten the whole world now. This shit is getting completely out of hand folks.

1. The prophecy has something to do with converting the Jews
hence the unholy alliance.

2. As soon as the Jews convert to S. Baptists, we can proceed.
With the evacuation of all believers to heaven.

The very entity they hope will return.

I'm feeling it first-hand, but they've learned to soften their approach over the last couple years. I also made sure to tell them in no uncertain terms that I am not a Zionist, and do not support their wars, so they can't play that card, either.

7. You are not a Zionist?
There are many forms of Zionism. The one most of us follow is that Israel has the right to exist in the current realm of nations in safe, secure borders.

10. I'm uncomforable with any ethnocentric government. policy...
Or any policies that favor one people over another.

I wouldn't want it here, or in Lebanon, or Israel, or anywhere.

Not sure how you'd label that.

12. And that is not Israeli policy.
All the citizens are equals. There are problems of racism, as there are in EVERY country. If you have a problem with an ethnocentric government, then I suppose you also oppose the suggested Palestinian government which would be Arab dominated based on Islamic law.

21. How does Zionism feel about Dual citizenship? Is that acceptable?
I ask, because Israel does not allow over a set number of other races or foreign citizens to actually live in Israel. I understand that it is necessary because they want to control the voting process there, but by having dual citizenship here in America, they also have the ability to control the lives of American citizens here (by their votes here) who do not have the right to have the same control in Israel.

I believe Ariel Sharon said something to that effect, that "Israel controls America."

This dual citizenship business seems grossly unfair IMHO.

22. Do some more research...then get back to me.
As for Sharon's statement, that has been debunked!

Of course, it is only the Israeli dual-citizenship you have a problem with, is it?

24. No..I have a problem with ALL dual citizenship. I fail to see how
anyone can declare complete loyalty to TWO different countries, which sometimes have differing concerns. I DON'T just mean Israel, but I am specifically asking you about Israel. That is what we are discussing on this thread, so to talk about another country's dual citizenship policies here would be to digress.

I have read that Israel wants to become a "state" in the United States. Now that sounds kind of far-fetched and impossible to believe, but sometimes one asks, "Is that so?" It is a question...that is all that it is. It is not a "slam" toward Israel, but it often seems that any questioner is snarked or accused of anti-semitism when indeed, none is intended.

You say, "do more research" and I can say that it all depends on who and what you read. There are some who debunk the Sharon statement and some who swear by it. At this point, one starts to ask his own colleagues (like me asking you, as political allies) to give some clarity to the question. You obviously know more about this situation than I do. I don't want to fight, I want to gain some more understanding. I want to look at this conflict and its possible outcomes with some perspective.

I'm not going to sit here on this computer and annonomously say that your opinion will make me change my mind about anything, but if we differ about certain points and agree about others, then wouldn't it make sense to discuss our opposing viewpoints to better understand each other...as people?...as human beings that share a planet?

13. Jesus is problematic for them
Orthodox Jews do not recognized the divinity of Jesus. He was never resurrected. He just died on the cross and that was it.

I thought the fundies were trying to convert them before they went to hell. I guess they have different priorities now. Like encouraging WWIII in the Middle East so it will fit their 'end-times' predictions.

4. Not this bigot, again!
His other bullshit article was whisked away several times because he is a conservative hack! He is a member of a bigoted, anti-immigration site. I know, I know...he hates Israel, therefore, he should be allowed to be 'published' here at DU.

I just have to ask, with all the recent activity in the ME, are some of the posters here just "moist" because they can slam Israel in the main rooms? It seems the rules about posting about Israel no longer apply and the hate doesn't have to be contained to I/P. Post something positive about Israel and the haters attack, and it gets whisked into another forum. Post about a fringe group in Israel, well, that is just grist for the mill!

Some people need to ask themselves, do they hate Israeli policy or so they simply hate Israel?

I didn't say I hated Israel, I removed the words "pro Israel" from my subject line also.

I just thought I'd point out that some of our senators would like to see the world end and that that may not be too cool.

The freak who wrote this article has already had one article banned from this site. It was posted 5 fucking times...and locked every time! He is a paleo-conservative, Jew-hating prick!

Good for you for removing "pro-Israel" from the subject line! They are NOT pro-Israel any more than the "one-staters" are pro-Israel! Both groups want to see Israel and the Jews destroyed!

26. LOL
This is an author who writes for hate sites. Sites that have been designated so by the SPLC. He wrote an article for Lew Rockwell blasting Brown v. Board of Ed. He hates blacks, Jews, Hispanics, and undoubtedly a few other groups. He's a paleocon who makes Pat Buchanon look reasonable.

You might want to reconsider your support for an article written by such a contemptible hack.

19. DoomsDay Machine...in full swing
The fact that their religion is nothing more then fairy tales, where the rediculas meets the obsurd only means that in order to have SOMETHING come true of the nonsence within those pages, the "Christain" fundamentalist has to make things happen by force and any mean necassary.

MegaChurch Cultist dominance needs holted NOW! If these organized cults are allowed to manipulate OUR Governemt further it will only lead to (more) utter hell for us all. You see those stuffed suits in those pictures? Those wack job bastards do not give a flying fuck about anyone but theirselves and that fairy tale book, nothing else matters to them...Why?? Because they have shits loads of money and can run and hide when the real shit hits the fan, thats why.

People are so lost that they will give those bastards money in hopes of buying their way into heaven and giving it to a nameless god at that. Lets no forget thet Con standing up their preaching the gospel they snort cocain off of....

THOSE PEOPLE ARE SICK and THEY ARE GOING TO LEARN THE HARD WAY.
