Putin rejected Bush critique "Russia should emulate democracy in Iraq".
ST. PETERSBURG, Russia (CNN) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin has rejected a suggestion from U.S. President George W. Bush that his country should emulate democracy in Iraq.

I think it is safe to say that NOBODY in the fucking world wants a democracy like Iraq at this moment.

Most especially Iraqis.

Our Stumblebum McBunnypants has said a LOT of stupid shit in his tenure -- I'd say this tops it except there is so much I cannot remember everything.

1. I just thought this remark from Putin was great
BUSH: I thought the discussion was a good discussion. It's not the first time that Vladimir and I discussed our governing philosophies. I have shared with him my desires for our country, and he shared with me his desires for his. And I talked about my desire to promote institutional change in parts of the world like Iraq where there's a free press and free religion, and I told him that a lot of people in our country would hope that Russia would do the same thing.

PUTIN: We certainly would not want to have the same kind of democracy as they have in Iraq, I will tell you quite honestl

2. Putin's Russia is the same kind of democracy as Iraq
The press is muzzled.

Elections are fixed.

The regional governors are appointed by the boss man.

The legislature can't pass reform without the boss man's permission.

Corruption is rampant.

3. Bush:
Iraq with elected government is now capable to make decisions.

IRAQ: Get out!!!!!

Rumsfeld last week: Iraq is not capable of making it's own decisions.
