Israel on attack ?

First off I certainly don't claim to know much or have the complete history .

I do have a question to begin with , taking this back to the golf war past the end of the cold war , what do you feel the reason behind Iraq firing scud missiles at Israel was , was it an act against the US or was it strictly against Israel ? Was it both ?

Personally after listening to the malloy show tonight I gathered some insight . I do feel Israel found it much easier to attack based on the mindset the US has used as an example waging war or over reacting to any given situation regarding any land or country that the US sights as a problem or in their way or has resource of value , what ever the bush admin finds to their advantage , as well as the US christian belief that the beliefs in the middle east are not valid where americans are concerned . I am referring to the present bush admin and the religious mindset of the american christian religion or right wing born agains , they are not one of the same but their views on other religions is very much alike .

I hope this makes some sense , it's late and this was on my mind .

I don't feel Israel should stand for a religious point of light , and the USA's support of Israel through the years has to create a feeling of hate toward Israel within the middle east .

1. Remember the coalition in the first gulf war

The coalition that fought against Iraq in the first gulf war included arab states.

Iraq launched scuds against Israel hoping that Israel would retaliate. A jewish state attacking Iraq was hoped to be a splinter that would fracture the coalition and pull the rest of the arab states to the Iraqi side.

3. the golf war

My God, and what an ugly war it was. Spent clubs, balls and tees littering the fairway. Funny looking pants in tatters. Shoe spikes ripping through flesh. Those little carts rotting away as bombed out hulks and shot up fiberglass. Blood on the putting green. It was clear after only a few short holes that we were caught in a sandtrap.
