Should Dems propose: Double Iraq Troops Now or Get Out
I mean, it's clear there are not enough troops there now - never has been.

Get it done right, double the troops per the ORIGINAL request 3.5 years ago, or just get out.

Bush's stay the course strategy is a failure.

3. Hell no, that would be just plain stupid imo
Gives republicans two different reasons to say democrats are wrong, that they can't make a decision, and that they want the republicans to decide it for them. And increasing troop levels is certainly not the answer.

9. That's the only thing that makes sense.
For those who are worried that this because of political fallout, I say: The troops safety is more important than any party.

pres. bush, shit or get off the pot!

7. Yes, let's NOW push the number of occupation troops up to 250,000
Yeah, if that doesn't work, we'll go up to the Viet Nam high of 550,000 troops in theater before deciding it ain't gonna work and walk home.

I'm sorry, but that window of opportunity has been closed since the end of the 1st year of war. Maybe if we had enough troops at the very beginning to secure the country and begin reconstruction, we wouldn't be where we are now, but it's way too late now.
