The really, really crazy hardcore fundies

From the QT Archive of Knowledge:

- One percent of Americans think Jesus Christ was "the greatest American of all time."

And just for fun:

IN LAYMAN'S TERMS

Sen. Ted Stevens (R-Alaska), after voting against Internet regulations to protect consumers, explaining how the Internet works:

"It's a series of tubes."

Next: Sen. Stevens offers his thoughts on stem-cell research.

From Michael Sneed's column today at www.suntimes.com

1. Does that encompass the proponents of English-only who
say that "If English was good enough for Jesus, everyone should speak it."

2. Oh good lord...
I have never heard that! I think it is time for me to turn in my toys and go home, they win. I can't possible fight someone so smart that they would say "If English was good enough for Jesus, everyone should speak it." *sigh* I need a Zanax!

5. I had a fundy
come to the Dances of Universal Peace, where we do dances based upon sacred phrases from the world's spiritual traditions. Anyway, we were doing the first line of the Lord's Prayer in Aramaic, and she refused to join in "because my Bible is English." She actually thought that speaking Aramaic was "satanic" or something. Funny, she had no problem doing a Krishna dance.....

7. pitty -
I wonder if it would make her feel "better" to know that Aramaic is more "Christian" than she could ever hope to attain by reading the KJ Bible.

pitty - silly rabbit tricks are for kids - they should leave the history to the "Libruls that hate Murika"

8. Yes, I do pity her,
because she was obviously very afraid. Frankly, she came on a dare-and was rather shocked to find out that Muslims don't have horns and that they honor all spiritual traditions (well, Sufis do).

6. People who believe in ghosts who live on clouds...
Man, I am still cracking up over "greatest American." You gotta be really, really crazy AND really, really ignorant to come up with that.
