I think Barr's introduction of Gore was important to the whole thing -- someone from the other side, making it less easy to ignore. I really regret his absence, and wonder what happened.

7. I find it curious to say the least.

I started another thread about it. I have checked all the blogs not a peep about Barr. I emailed Rawstory and asked them to look into it. Not that they will listen to me but at least I asked.

I thought he was supposed to be there. Maybe something came up last minute and he couldn't make it. :shrug: Does anybody have the video of his opening? It isn't on the CSPAN archive of it and I missed the first few minutes I think on taping it (nothing from the speech though thank goodness).

11. It was damned odd to me. Gore was left sitting on the stage with a

restless audience which could have interupted the tempo and timing of his delivery of the speech There was such a long gap that it became uncomfortable. Why in the heck was Barr scheduled to speak via sattelite anyway. :shrug: He couldn't show up in person for this most important speech that he was touting over the weekend?

Sounds like it was planned to me. Every one of Gore's speeches has had some major event to take the emphasis off it. I was going to research it but didn't get around to it. I figured something would happen with this one too...so when Barr didn't show up and Gore was left sitting ...I figured that was it...another stunt by the Bushies.

If you noticed Gore even had a little smile like he knew something was up because it had happened to him before. At least that was my read of his expression.

I hope we find out what it was because it just seems too fishy.
