9. I'll tell you a story...

To correct you only slightly, I'm a dentist. A few years ago I was treating this very nice guy - brilliant in fact, who was born with a withered leg. It didn't stop him at all whatsoever from rising to great intellectual and professional heights. I was describing something rather esoteric to him in dentistry, and I used a phrase which we used to employ about 30+ years ago to describe someone who had no teeth and couldn't eat with dentures. I had NEVER EVER used this phrase before in my life. I described the conditiion as being a "DENTAL CRIPPLE".

Unbelievable - that word doesn't exit my mouth from one decade to the next.
