Saudi king offers amnesty to Al Qaeda terrorists

JEDDAH/CAIRO - King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia has announced an amnesty for Islamist terrorists, Saudi newspaper reports said on Tuesday.

A similar move two years ago encouraged six extremists within Al Qaeda cells in Saudi Arabia to give themselves up to police within the space of one month. They were released after five months.

The king revealed his plan for a new amnesty during a cabinet meeting in Jeddah Monday, the Arab News reported. Forty suspected terrorists have been arrested in the Islamic kingdom in the last two months.

3. Too bad the offer applies only to the Islamist brand of terrorists.
I guess George will just have to find somewhere else to go.

11. I bet we will never see AIPAC representative or Israeli Prime Minister
kiss George on the cheek because we believe in the Judea-Christian values where men don't kiss each other on the cheek, right?

10. This is a good ploy. The Saudis
ruling family is absolutely terrified that once the US pulls out the majority of it's forces, battle hardened and angry guerrilla fighters are going to stream back into Saudi Arabia from Iraq and put a hurting on their Dictatorial Control of the Oil and other Wealth of SA...
