Bill Clinton: Repubs "Think Secrecy And Unacountability is a Virtue"
On the stump, Clinton attacks administration
"Their number-one priority is to concentrate wealth and power," the former president says of the Bush administration.

BY SCOTT MacKAY
Journal Staff Writer

SOUTH KINGSTOWN -- Former President Bill Clinton, campaigning for Democratic Senate aspirant Sheldon Whitehouse, last night delivered a tough partisan speech aimed at the Republicans who control Congress and said the only way to change the direction of the nation is to elect Democrats to the House and Senate this fall.

Speaking at a $1,000-per-person fundraiser for Whitehouse at the University of Rhode Island, Clinton said he is not reflexively "anti-Republican."

.................

"The people who run this government don't represent even the Republican Party . . . they represent a small sliver of the Republican Party today that is almost totally dominated by exceedingly conservative white males from the South and West.

"Their number-one priority is to concentrate wealth and power," said Clinton. "They think secrecy and unacountablity is a virtue."

1. They believe that the President Should be above the law
That's clear - - this group of people has been pissed off since watergate, and are determined to overturn that precedent by showing a President can do whatever he likes (far worse things) and not be held accountable.

2. Republicans (neo-soon-to-be-Cons) know what's best....
...just like their alcoholic Dads who came home at night to beat their wives and children. It's no wonder they need "performance enhancing" blue pills and have a penchant for children.
