VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO HELP FIND INTERSTELLAR DUST.
Space probe "Stardust" passed through the coma of a comet with a dust collector and has returned. Yesterday, a capsule with the collected dust grains landed in Utah and has been picked up. But the search for the ultra tiny dust grains has to be done manually. Using an internet link, volunteers can personally examine part of the collector. If you find a grain, you will be listed as the discoverer.

Details here:

This is a change to help contribute to humanities' knowledge of deep space.

12. Cool! Of course, there is no such thing as interstellar space.
...and the Earth is only 6,000 years old, surrounded by a large papier-mache globe poked with pinprick holes through which the holy avenging light of Jesus's anger at gays, blasphemers, democrats and fornicators shines through with heavenly vengeance.

But for shits n' giggles, this might be worth doing anyway.

16. I'll be looking for God's fingerprints
Only problem, I don't know what His fingerprints look like. Since He made the universe, we should be able to see His fingerprints on every little piece of comet dust, right? Of course, we'll have to glue them together in the proper sequence to be able to see them, but I'm sure if we pray hard enough He'll give us the guidance we need to do this properly.

I'm going to think about it. I've got a bunch of stuff on my plate right now, but it really sounds cool.
