Rush's trip to Dominican Republic...

The news reports about his latest drug bust said he traveled by private airplane. So I started checking around some of the Internets to find out what I could about that plane. The FAA database, http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry/NNum_inquiry.asp doesn't show any planes owned in Rush's name, but that would figure because most airplane owners put them in corporataions. No luck there. But there's a plane-spotter website with a picture of a Gulfstream IV, said to be one Rushbo travels on; I looked up the tail number, N1EB, and found it was owned by Premiere Radio Networks, the company that syndicates Rush. So then I checked another site, http://www.flightaware.com, which shows the names of aircraft owners and routes all filed IFR flight plans (all matters of public record). And guess what that site showed for N1EB: "PREMIERE RADIO NETWORKS (SHERMAN OAKS CA) This flight is not available for tracking per request from the owner/operator."

Hmmm.... Guess maybe Rush doesn't want anyone to know where he goes...?

But apparently the private web site, FlightAware, won't post that information if the owner asks them not to.

12. So Rush's original radio company was called Excellence in Broadcasting,

or EIB. Hence the airplane's tail number, N1EB. The plane is registered to his syndicating company, Premiere Radio Networks, which is owned by Clear Channel. No doubt it's a tax/liability dodge; probably he transferred the airplane to Premiere so it wouldn't show up as a personal asset. Rush has a HUGH!!1! contract with Premiere through 2009, something like $280 million. No doubt the plane is in effect still his, to use as he wants, like to go to Dominican Republic to get drugs and hookers.

actually, the Dominican Republic *IS* one of the new centers for Cigars. The OpusX, God of FIre, LA Aurora Cien Anos are all made there. As are others. Sometimes selling for one hundred bucks a cigar. heck, even though cuban cigars still have a mystique and forbidden quality, others are just as good, if not better.

The real problem is taxes like in california. Over 50 percent if bought here.

If he REALLY wanted cubans, all he has to do is order over the internet to some country like Canada or Spain. companies over there guarantee shipment(the odds of customs interception are LOW) for an additiona fee.
