As moron* and his room full of dopes play with their GI Joe dolls on the floor of the oval office, I'm struck immediately by the complete lack and utter disdain they have for any sort of statement-ship or diplomacy.
Here we have N. Korea, a sovereign nation, and also of the so called "axis of evil" labeled by moron*, testing a missile and the only thing they have as a response is to immediately go on the defense. This in a nutshell is what I like to call reactionary politics.
Like a bully or even a spoiled child, N. Korea is looking to get a reaction out of us and the rest of the world. It's a sad statement that they have to resort to this level of brinkmanship just to open a dialog with us or any nation, but sadly, this is the world that has been set up by george w. moron*.
A smart man would look upon this moment as opportunity. Like Eisenhower once said when he heard about the German attack during the battle of the bulge, "this isn't defeat! This is opportunity!" And his insight shortened the war by many months.
However, given the fact the moron and his troop of fools continue to regard any concept of diplomacy with disdain, they now, however, make us feel as a nation as if we are continually being painted into a corner and have to put on a show of being tough. This false sense of bravado is getting really exhausting.
So now when they go on the defense, and roll out their old tired weapon of keeping us in fear, we as a nation react not with fear of N. Korea, but now react in of fear of these incompetent fools* in the WH and how they deal with any immediate problem.
What we need now is clear thinking not these knee jerk* reactions with weapons and bombs.
Like I said earlier, this is opportunity. Rather than using the old world, stupid ass phrase of, "either you are with us or against us", which leaves us with very few options and at the same time, isolating us from a major portion of the world that chooses intelligence over a pissing matches to solve their problems, we could use this time to say, hey, "let's slow the fuck down and sit and talk". The natural response to this by the right-wing zealots would be, "but that's what the N. Korea's wants!!! we would been seen as weak and giving into them!!!".
Sadly, we already are seen as being weak. And honestly, what would we be giving into? Peace??? This simple act would be a radically different approach then what has been displayed so far. And let's face it, moron* doesn't have all that hot a record with his insane rhetoric. Osama bin who? It's an odd thing when sanity is deemed odd.
This lunatic administration has now become a caricature of itself through its lack of diplomacy and it's almost narcissistic need for "resolve".
But back to the topic at hand; morons* other phrase, "fight them over there so we don't have to fight them over here", seems pretty hollow now and obviously crazy, considering that activating our "missile defense" has all the signs of "fighting them over here". But I'm just kooky that way. And also raises the bar in the brinkmanship race.
If moron* had intelligence and insight to actually see this moment in history as opportunity, we would be in a vastly different place.
A simple tactic could have been used. As little kids we called it Tit for Tat. For example: we give them food for their starving masses, they cut the shit on the nukes. We give them farming equipment and they back off on firing missiles.
But instead, sadly, this administration* chooses instead to blindly follow morons* puffed up sense of self importance. Peace is hard, it's complicated, requires a mind worth of inquiry but it doesn't have to be made insanely difficult by avoiding it.
Any and all the "great" leaders of the world knew when to use force and when to use diplomacy. A good portion of the time, they used diplomacy and won. Why? It's far less expensive, very far less destructive and in the long run, promotes trade and growth.
Living in the land of the American Triangle (moron*, dickhead chaney and rumspuke), we have have lost moral, ethical and diplomatic compass.
We are now adrift in a sea of rhetoric and sinking fast.
