Did House Republicans make a mistake tying themselves so closely..?
....to George W Bush and his war in Iraq? In their temporary exuberance from all the "good news", did they make a political blunder? No matter how bad things may get between now and November, aren't they now wedded to the Bush policy in Iraq? If the situation around Baghdad deteriorates even further than at present, how do they defend their position? Haven't they really painted themselves into a corner with their unnecessary "resolution"? I wonder how many are starting to regret their vote already??

1. WIll not matter.... elections are so rigged, so f#cked up, there will be
no free/fair elections in this country until the masses, and I mean the MASSES occupy DC and show their displeasure.

4. I'm with you.
I think the coming elections are pretty much hopeless- no matter what the polls say, no matter how big a margin the Republicans really lose by. The system has been too thoroughly rigged, and the current power structure simply has too much to lose. They can't afford to lose control of Congress this year.

Still, the subject of vote fraud has finally begun to make a dent in the national consciousness. I agree that the problem will not be fixed until the people demand it- and I hope they do so before 2008.

3. Yes, and it's become pretty farcical around here
Sutpid was in town on Friday, stumping for Heartless Heather Wilson (R-COW), charging $5000 for a photo op.

The next day the right wing fishwrap trumpeted that a whopping $75,000 was raised! I guess they could only find 15 diehard fools who wanted their pitchurs took with Il Dunce.

If that isn't a hilarious miscalculation, I don't know what is. I'm sure the visit cost at least a couple of hunndred thousand just for the paranoid level of security.
