Arizona Vets for Peace have purchased air time for some Sunday morning spots. I left my notes at work, so I would have to get back with you on what women's issues they would like to address with you. I am off to day for the Scottsdale protest but I'm going to go in on Saturday, so I will add some more details to this thread on Saturday.

12. My husband and I just got ours today -

We're both vets. My father got his two weeks ago. However, I think a lot of the delay has come from the address change we went through last year; it probably took a while for the VA to verify where we now live.

I think a lot has to do with the ability for your local VA to find you.

a female, and and active anti-war protestor. I have a terrible radio voice. Thick Chicago accent. Both my brother and I have received our letters. Haven't heard from the other brother who was Air Force.

There's quite a few female vets of various flavors on the board. Covering from the military to the animal doctor definitions. It just might be a bit late in the evening for many of us be haunting DU.

Vet - US Navy, 1977 - 1998.

I hate going to hospitals and funerals. I've been to far too many of them over the years; most for accidents, but a few due to some sort of "action".

Personal belief - war is a symptom of a breakdown of wisdom and diplomacy. When it comes, it brings chaos, not order. Not to say a capable military isn't a good thing to have around, it just shouldn't be casually used - certainly not for "fun and profit".
So I guess you could say I'm for peace (especially since I've been in a few peace marches over the last four years...).
