Never forget that George W. Bush traded Sosa, Alvarez, and Fletcher
to rent Harold Baines for half season. He gave up the most promising pitcher and hitter in their farm system, giving up literally decades of productive play, for a pinch hitter coming off an injury who was going to be a free agent the next year. The third man in the trade, Scott Fletcher, was a low average hitter, but a decent short stop, and after the trade, the Rangers had no real short stop. They used two utility players, and those two players gave up more runs on errors than Baines hit homers.

That's Bush--sacrifice the future for a short-term assets with questionable production.

Just thought I'd mention it.

2. He probably cheated at quarters, too.
Not sure how one could, but Rove would figure it out for him.

3. He has run every business he has ever had into ruin. Why would it be any
different for him while running the US????

Poppy and his friends have been able to rescue him from all his previous disasters. But those were merely financial, and probably only involved the murder of one or two witnesses.

This time it is thousands of people and billions of dollars. Even Poppy and all his friends can't put Humpty Dumpty together again this time.

4. actually, i don't think he was a majority owner of the rangers.....
...he was given a small part of the team because of his daddy and his name. i doubt the rangers (who have been perennially bad at running their ball club), as bad as they are would still never let chimpy even close to the controls. he was a figure head there as much as he is now in the white house. an empty suit. he's always been one and always will be.

5. You are correct!
He owned about 10% of the team, which made him a silent partner only! HAd he made the actual decisions, he would have invaded Iraq with the Texas Rangers! He bought in to the Rangers organization with a loan from daddy's friends to try to upgrade his "Girly-Man" image. He's been a pussy all his life, living on the tips of daddy's coattails. He is the type of guy who drops the soap on purpose in the lockerroom shower, then turns around and grins!

6. I wonder if he traded Fletcher before or after he (Bush) named his dog ...
... in tribute to him? The late "Spotty" was called "Spot Fetcher Bush".
