bush flew to Iraq to tell the PM to play this up for all it is worth. The Democrats in Congress MUST SCREAM THAT IRAQ HAD NOTHING to do with 9/11. THAT there WAS NO AL QUEIDA in IRAQ before we invaded, that we are being fed one LIE after another is being fed to the public, and this media blitz is part of that strategy

WE ARE SCREWED becasue I doubt they will speak in one voice. They wouldn't even stand with Murtha, Feingold, or Kerry

2. And how do you propose we do that? They don't seem to care what
we think. Just look at how they voted on Alito. There was a huge effort to get the word to them how we felt, and they ignored it. At least, many of them did. It is going to take a group effort, and they can't seem to agree on anything.

The only thing I know of is to threaten them: you will not get my vote if you don't do this. And even then, they don't seem to care. It's very frustrating.

The Democratic Party needs to have a solitary spokesperson, someone who is middle of the road, well spoken, and without scandals. And the message from the Dem party needs to come from that person, without a lot of others saying something different.

4. I am doing what I can to support candidates like Ned Lamont
and will take one victory at a time until we have cleaned up the party, but I think it will be a long haul, and I hope the republic survives. This is far worse than Nixon EVER was

9. Its still a question which candidate the DSCC will support.
an early indication is it will be Lieberman but of course time will tell.......Now say what you want about the DNC,the DSCC. and the DCCC but they aren't necessarily supporting candidates that are in line with our views or the overall Demcratic party ideology but they support the candidates in line with theirs....and many times, speaking for my self,I dont agree with them.

5. Its their audience
the millions of morons who make up the "conservative" base don't care if they are being lied to as long as bush is doing the lying. An incredibly pathetic way to go through life. The bush base also does not care that our kids are still dying in the desert, they only care about being attracted to someone of the same sex. Sad, pathetic creatures who do not deserve constitutional liberties.

8. Many Republicans
are extremely disenchanted with their "party". A "Christian" talk radio program coming out of Oklahoma is full of guests and callers who are fed up and scared of the present administration. They want them out also. However, many Democrats are also fed up with THEIR party. I hear many are dropping out of the Democratic Party exactly for the reasons listed in this thread. No one is listening. I don't care if what they call themselves, but having elected officials who won't listen is WORTHLESS.
