Saw An Inconvenient Truth (Loved it)
As I got tearyeyed watching Gore tell the story that our planet and inhabitants are endangered
I thought what would the world be like if HE would have been President in 2000

ALOT BETTER SHAPE!!!

The Supreme Court should be tried for Treason as well as Jeb Bush...

3. Me too, I couldn't believe how quickly it was over.
That was at least 90 minutes right? It went much faster than I imagined.

This is the first weekend for Atlanta.

4. I broke down watching the movie today
I was absolutely stunned at how massive the changes have occurred. It was the displacement of all the people who are going to have to evacuate. Think Katrina on a global scale. All within the Boomer's lifetime. We didn't start this mess, but by all that is holy, we will clean this up.

My vote is for the politicians who have seen this movie. All others are just whiney titty babies wanting more, more, more. The one's who do actually watch this movie will get my time, attention, and financial support, I don't give a damn what party they walk from. If the Dem's don't jump on this, I will find another. The problem is too big to ignore.

And yes, my DH and I have been reducing our net carbon footprint, though I didn't know that is what have been doing. We pretty much park the car and use an electric scooter, which has reduced our gasoline bill to +/- $50 a month, plus with the little bitty changes we have in our house, we have reduced our electric bill by 50%, though a rate hike of .03 per kwh goes into effect with our August billing, so I will be reducing even more carbon output by then.

5. It got to Santa Barbara on Friday and I made sure to see it
I'm not going to be able to get my husband into the theater for it, but we'll check it out from the library when it gets there. We live at sea level, thank you very much.

God bless Al Gore. What a good man he is.

7. Hey, I used to live in Goleta, back when I went to Brooks Institute
I was a Motion Picture major. (Great education, but they didn't help much in getting jobs)

I lived just off of Hollister near the UCSB Freeway extension and then in the neighborhood by the High School that's just off of Glen Annie and Foothill Roads. :hi:

:hi:
I love it here, but the day may come...

I'm glad you enjoyed Brooks. What did you end up doing?

13. Oh lot's of stuff, that was 20 years ago now...
...Right now I'm working to re-learn everything using my Computer. Every skill I learned there are now almost completely obsolete. Here's a link to my resume, it has hot links to films I've worked on and places I've worked: My Resume

Along with a lot of other people in my city. I'm thinking of getting the DVD (when it's released) and donating it to the public library, so more folks can see it.

The film opens on Friday here ... one of my co-workers, who studies forest fires, wants to see it too, so we'll probably go then, if we can get tickets! We may be able to ride one of the city's new hybrid buses down to the theatre (they've started using them on the major street routes).

It's a very somber flick, but it holds your interest throughout...
