I find the outrage over La Coulter's remarks

pretty funny. I've never written anything about her before, and I can't imagine I'll spend much time on her in the future, but the brouhaha over her latest idiocy is pretty interesting. We've got pundits of all stripes weighing in, and Hillary and a bunch of congresscritters writing her a letter demanding she apologize. I just can't get worked up over the drivel that comes out of her mouth. She's so obviously doing it all to sell books, but beyond that she's really boring. It's not like she ever says anything clever or funny, astute or smart. I wish people wouldn't bother responding to her stupidity. Mostly she's simply boring, repetitive and tacky.

we need the extremes to frame the center. And we need her to say the unthinkable.

I have found some of her writing (jumping behind a brick wall) clever. I always give the Devil his due. But I don't care for the tenor of her work in general.

with her big mouth she is exposing just how repugnant, hateful and bitter the RW repugs really are. So many of them keep that side of themselves hidden so the general public doesn't know how they really think but her and her groupies are showing just how ugly they really are. I have seen her discussed on all kinds of non-political boards, soap opera boards, reality tv boards, movie boards etc. The more exposure her way of thinking gets the better for our side.

people like Greg Palast or Mark Crispin Miller get absolutely ZERO coverage, while the likes of Coulter and freaking Mary CHENEY (6000 books sold) get blanketed all over the place

5. Complex thoughtful

exposition never has and never will attract the kind of attention that outrageous and offensive short sentences do. Nothing new about that. As far as the rather bland Ms. Cheney goes, she's the daughter of the sitting and controversial VP. I just find there are far, far better things to be outraged about than that Coulter gets more attention and sells more books than Greg Palast.
