Dad gives $275,000 to gay rights group
Edited on Thu Jun-08-06 09:22 PM by Contrary1
Take that, Repukes!

"FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- A businessman whose son died of AIDS has donated $275,000 to a coalition of groups supporting gay rights.

Otis Vincent, semiretired marketing director at Trinity Mortgage in Fort Wayne, had pledged $200,000 to Indiana Equality's fundraising campaign, but increased his gift by $75,000 Wednesday.

Vincent, who also led the effort for construction of the Northeast Indiana AIDS Memorial in Fort Wayne's Lindenwood Cemetery, said the contribution was in memory of his son, Stephen, who was 30 when he died of AIDS in 1995.

"As a parent we only wish the basics for our children -- love, happiness and health. That's all I wanted for him," Vincent said at the fundraising kickoff in Indianapolis. "Instead, I watched while the world persecuted him for being gay."

5. Oh...
"As a parent we only wish the basics for our children -- love, happiness and health. That's all I wanted for him...Instead, I watched while the world persecuted him for being gay."

What kind of American would not wish love, hapiness and health for a young person?

What kind of American would persecute a young person for who they love?

What kind of Christian would not wish love, hapiness and health for a young person?

What kind of Christian would persecute a young person for who they love?

What a fine father and American this man is.
