DeWine looked like he had a pantload during the hearings and sure kept a low profile. He sure wasn't using those hearing to raise his profile of being a "Conservative" champion for the folks in Ohio. He was barely in the hearing room.
Pressure has to be put on moderate Repugnicans...or those in blue or purple states (and I consider Ohio purple) that confirming ScAlito now means your loss at the polls in November '06 or '08. DeWine is already behind the 8-ball in polling against Sherrod Brown and Paul Hackett and a yes vote gives either candidate a major battle axe to take to the soccer moms this fall.
Your note was very sincere and hopefully it gets a response...and here's hoping others flood these guys with reminders of what this vote not only means to millions of us, the powers of the House and Senate, but, most importantly (remember, these are Repugnicans) their own carrers and power bases.
