6. The Dems that are really in charge are the DLC Dems, and they
are really moderate repukes. That would explain why they use the same failed tactics everytime. There is really only ONE party, the Repukes and the DLC, which are both Corporateers!

19. How much do you want to bet the DLC has the access codes
TO throw primaries? Remember to look beyond partisanship. The Republican party is just a tool to the corporatists and the money power-elite. They use the DLC to neutralize our party so that thier agenda goes forward no matter who's in control.

The DLC has the keys to Diebold et al for use in the primaries. I'm almost sure of it.

When the monied power-elite get Republicans in all the red states and DLC Democrats elected in all the blue states their coup this country will be no less fascistic then Italy or Germany.

21. You need to give Schultz a piece of your mind today!!
Call him about his rant yesterday with the 2004 election steal/RFK piece. Schultz pro-claimed a run-away Busby victory. Impress upon him the "get over it" only allows continued election fraud and we need his help to get the word out and DEMAND an investigation. And that, in fact, Cons should be on board with it, too. Wouldn't they want to prove without any question whether that election was legit?

Also, point out (as Thom did) about the Washington State election and how the Cons screamed and hollered through lawsuit after lawsuite in what was not a stolen race, but a CLOSE race. Had Kerry been declared the winner by the same margin as Bush, we'd STILL be in legal proceedings covered 24/7 on news channels. :grr:

Sorry...Big Eddie really was pissing me off yesterday with his rant. His "Then what?" really stuck my craw.
It's about getting a thorough investigation so history doesn't repeat itself! Get over THAT Big Eddie!

22. I am with you 100% about Ed. He is what they broadcast during lunch
here in San Diego, and I am usually in my car at lunch. A lot of the time I listen to music instead of him. I am definitely going to try to get on his show today.

20. Me too!
He just makes so much sense and is so informed about American history. He has a great way of arguing with cons without making it personal. I just love his show. I think he could be very effective on getting people over to our side. Much more so than Al. Not that Al isn't cool....I like him too, but Hartman should have a really good slot on AAR. Certainly he could at least replace Jerry Springer. Argh! We need Thom on the air ALL OVER AMERICA.

Thom just said that we can't listen to anyone who says, "Get over it."
Why? So it won't happen again.

26. I Love me some Thom Hartmann!
in a totally hetero way... I believe he's the smartest man on the radio. He's on from 9-12 here in the Seattle market, followed by Ed Schultz. Ed sounds too much like Rush Limbaugh for my taste.

EXAMINING THE VOTE: THE OVERVIEW; Study of Disputed Florida Ballots Finds Justices Did Not Cast the Deciding Vote
By FORD FESSENDEN AND JOHN M. BRODER
(No link because ya gotta buy the damn thing, which I just did)

>In a finding rich with irony, the results show that even if Mr. Gore had succeeded in his effort to force recounts of undervotes in the four Democratic counties, Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Volusia, he still would have lost, although by 225 votes rather than 537. An approach Mr. Gore and his lawyers rejected as impractical -- a statewide recount -- could have produced enough votes to tilt the election his way, no matter what standard was chosen to judge voter intent.

>A statistical analysis conducted for The Times determined that if all counties had followed state law in reviewing the absentee ballots, Mr. Gore would have picked up as many as 290 additional votes, enough to tip the election in Mr. Gore's favor in some of the situations studied in the statewide ballot review.

Ballot standards under which all disqualified ballots statewide would have been reexamined; Gore would have received the most votes

. . . allowing only fully-punched ballot cards and correctly marked optical-scan ballots.

BUSH: 2,915,130
GORE: 2,915,245
+115

. . . using each county's own standard.

BUSH: 2,917,676
GORE: 2,917,847
+171

. . . also allowing dimples on punch cards and any marks on optical-scan ballots that indicate a candidate choice.

BUSH: 2,924,588
GORE: 2,924,695
+107

28. Thom is on this topic like a polyester shirt on skin in the summer....
He's not going to let this one die...and neither should we. Two stolen elections...with a third on the way? Democracy is a quaint 20th century concept.
