3. Byrd is hardly a freind of the LGBT community
He got a score of 13 from HRC in the 108th congress. This is what Lamar Alexander, Bob Bennett, George Allen. Ensign, Collins, Snowe, Ben Campbell, McCain, and DeWine all got higher scores. A disgrace on gay rights. Even that freak Crypto-Puke Zell Miller got higher.

4. West Virginia has a lot of conservative Dems
And most West Virginians are socially conservative. Byrd may well be doing the bidding of his constituents--his job!

Also, I heard that Dodd's looking at a run.
