1. Those are 2 races where Democrats far outperformed their registration
And the partisan indexes. So the answer would be yes.

2. If the GOP is carrying "safe districts" by less than 5 percentage points,
they are in deep shit!

3. today here on DU we will spin the elections of last night
I am sooooo disappointed. Til 3 AM this morning I was looking for some good news from the California Senate race. It doesn't matter who is voting in that precinct, I can not imagine them electing a repug to take the Cunningham seat. I guess, all it takes is money and swiftboating the opponent. We, Demos, should select someone who is a better candidate to run against these repugs. This morning I feel that if the US were voting on president again, we would elect GWB. Why don't the Dems do some swiftboating of their opponents?? There is certainly a world of material to use against them. We just roll over and play dead.

4. Because the Democratic establishment believes in taking the high road.
And when I'm told that, I always say "taking the high road is a good way to get your legs cut out from underneath you."

Unfortunately, with people like the DLC, the DCCC and tepid centrists in the party like Hillary Clinton, Tom Valsick, etc. . .the Democratic party is corrupted by Republican lite.

It's getting harder for me to say, but the American Experiment is coming to a close if the opposition party refuses to get its hands dirty.

8. I don't give a damn if they lost by 5 points or 30 points...
...they still lost.

I don't give a damn about moral victories. I want real victories! For every seat the GOP wins, the Democrats lose. Pure and simple.

5. Was Diebold involved in this race at all?
I just can't imagine how a puke won this race with all the bullshit going on in this country unless they stole it again.

Those are repuke districts. If Hitler were a repuke and Abraham Lincoln were a Democrat, those districts would vote for Hitler.
