Do You Ever Contribute To An Out-of-State Candidate?
Not for a Presidential Candidate, but do you ever contribute to Democrats or Independents who need help in states other than where you reside?

We do.

5. Yep. I gave to Hillary
I got a nice postcard with her picture on it (I tacked it up on my bulletin board at work) and just today I got another pitch for money with a "Re-elect Hillary" bumper sticker. I'm gonna put the bumper sticker right next to the postcard, just to piss off a few freepers who come to my office.

I have also given to Emily's list for use where the need is greatest.

10. Yes. And I have several times proposed this as a DU effort
I have given to out of state candidates for Congress. For Blue State/Blue District DUers (and others) it is a worthwhile thing to do.

Stephanie Studebaker ( www.studebakerforcongress.com )is running against a Rubber Stamp Appropriations Committee member, (Mike Turner R.) in the 3rd District of Ohio.
This includes the county of Warren, that so happened to be the deciding factor for Bush in 04 .
This seat was held for over 20 years by Tony Hall Democrat, who was given the job of Ambassador of the Peace Corps, and the District was re-zoned to include Republican areas, leaving out the porrer and middle class areas affected by things that happen in the 3rd.

We are having a Fund Drive right now and need everyone's help!

Go to www.studebakerforcongress.com and hit the donate button!

We have a great person in STephanie to take back our seat!!

From the DCCC

http://www.dccc.org/races/candidates/OH_03_Stephanie_Studebaker.html

"Stephanie Studebaker is challenging GOP incumbent Michael Turner.
Some facts about Michael Turner and how tied up Rep. Turner is with the GOP Culture of Corruption...

Representative Turner has a very cozy relationship with the GOP Leadership.

* Turner received $15,000 from House Majority Leader John Boehner's "Freedom Project" PAC.
* Turner received $16,598 from GOP Whip Roy Blunt's "Rely on Your Beliefs" PAC.
* Turner voted with President Bush 90% of the time.
* Turner voted the GOP party line 94% of the time.

Why do you think Turner is just rubber stamping the Republican agenda?

How tied up is Representative Turner with the Tom DeLay/Jack Abramoff scandal? Turner has taken:

* $20,000 from Tom DeLay's ARMPAC.
* $1,000 from Bob Ney, the first congressman to be implicated based on the Jack Abramoff guilty plea.

With all of these ties to the DeLay/Abramoff mess, is it any surprise that Turner has:

* Voted to weaken House ethics rules when DeLay proposed doing so as GOP Majority Leader.
* Voted with Tom DeLay 94% of the time.

Is Representative Turner serving Ohio voters, or the Republican money machine?

I contribute in my state to Bob Casey (against Santorum). And I try to contribute to candidates out of my district (my Dem is fairly safe) and out of state. Latest is Tammy Duckworth.

Can't afford much but figure every little bit helps.

18. Often!
I want to get our People into Congress in the worst way. I haven't got much but this is important. If it is the difference between a pizza or a donation and a sandwich, well, it's a pretty small sacrifice to make, IMO.

19. Yes, I have
I've contributed to Paul Hackett's campaign, to John Conyers, and to Ned Lamont, to name a few. I've actually contributed more this year to out-of-state candidates than to any of my own state's representatives.
